Affiliate marketing is the best way to make money online, even if you're a beginner and even if you don't have any money at all you can start making passive income today. Here I'll give you a quick overview on it and provide you a list of the best affiliate programs

What is it?
Affiliate marketing is a technique used by most online entrepreneurs and marketers because of how easy and cost effective it is. This might be the best way to start your business and open yourself to new opportunities. All you have to do is connect costumers to a certain product, you market a product and refer or redirect the costumer towards the brand or owner of that product, you do this through links, when consumers buy a product through that link you get a small commission out of it. Depending on which affiliate program you're using you can get anything from 10% to almost 70% in commissions. Some people are making millions of dollars thanks to affiliate marketing. Obviously this is something you'll have to treat as business, you need to invest time, there is a high probability that it'll fail but if you are smart and stay consistent the sky is the limit. It is performance-based so the more traffic you generate the more visitors the brand is going to get.

How to start
The first thing you need is a platform on which you are going to promote the products, it can be a website, blog, social media and youtube. After that you'll have to pick a niche, a specific audience, then sign up to different affiliate programs, select the products and start producing content like; reviews on blogs, youtube videos, social media posts, ads, etc. Its that easy, best part is you didn't have to spend any money on it, unless you ran ads. As you begin to make money you can start investing in your own brand, promote your platform and generate even more income.

1. Amazon Associates: is probably the safest one and it has the biggest platform, just go to amazon and register on their amazon associates page. Pick the products and you'll receive a link to them, commissions can be up to 10%. You can even promote some of their services like; Kindle Unlimited, audible and amazon video. Amazon can also display ads on your blog or website if you're using those platforms.

2. Clickbank: it offers the best commissions as you can earn more than 50%, it sells mostly digital products and is one of the most popular affiliate programs, I highly recommend this one, it is free to sign up, just go to clickbank.com and create an account.

3. ShareAsale: is one of the oldest and most trusted affiliate programs, it really is the same as the first two, look for somebody else product, get an affiliate link and start promoting. Sign up for free here ShareAsale.com
